Bac de fermentation
Sechage du Cacao sur une bâche

dgDear internet users,

The present communication platform is another instrument put in place by the National Cocoa and Coffee Board (NCCB), to showcase current developments in the cocoa and coffee sectors both at the National and International scene.

The missions assigned to NCCB by the state amongst others are: to guaranty quality, to promote the Cameroon origin and, respect International Conventions on Cocoa and Coffee.

In this light, the latest development as far as NCCB is concerned is the creation of six operational units of representation in the main cocoa and coffee basins in Ebolowa, Abong Mbang, Bafia, Nkongsamba, Mamfe and Bamenda. These units of representation are supported by branches in Yaoundé, Bafoussam, and Kumba.

Their activities include the monitoring of internal marketing and quality control. These units of representation are also intended to carry out special follow-up of the activities of producers, teaching them good post- harvest activities, good storage and transportation practices which directly affect quality of the produce.

NCCB has also alongside its international partners introduced programs dealing with certification and sustainability.

The international trade fares of enterprises, SME and partnership: organised in 2011 (PROMOTE 2011), also enabled NCCB to highlight the numerous potentials of cocoa and coffee, from planting to consumption.

Finally the launching ceremonies of cocoa and coffee seasons have always been an opportunity for NCCB to re-mobilise the stakeholders of the sector for better competitiveness and protection of the Cameroon origin

It is in line with the above that this site was reactivated.

We believe we can count on your feedback and suggestions to better meet up with the needs of all producers, exporters, local unit processors, buyers, and researchers in the cocoa and coffee sector, the Administration and everyday Internet user.
